I'm not sure if you still check this blog, but I just watched Intervention and wanted to see if I could find any updates about you online and this is what I came across. My heart really aches seeing your struggle and I just hope you know that you are a beautiful person. I truly admire your strength and hope that you have found the happiness that you deserve since that episode aired years ago. I am from Kentucky and my mother is a nurse, as are several of my friends who I have seen go through the extreme difficulty of nursing school. It is no easy feat, and I think nurses are very good at acting tough when other people are sick. I just want to send you a message to say that you are inspirational and even though we have never met, I am so proud of you! Best wishes to you and your beautiful children. What a beautiful and heartfelt blog. T...Katherine,

What a beautiful and heartfelt blog. Thank you for sharing.
You know I will never be able to understand what it means to be a mother, or what it feels like to have to juggle so much in life, but I CAN tell you, that you are WAYYY stronger than you give yourself credit for. I don't know how ANYONE can get through Galen's program without making it like your full time job... let alone do it while you're being a mother to 2 small children, AND working as a nurse on top of that too. You are truly super woman!
As far as the "dead beat dad" situation, I can only imagine what it must feel like trying to fill that void and role for your kids. I can see though that you provide your kids with as much love and support, as 10 parents combined... so I really feel like they aren't missing out on much, not having some asshole there ACTING like he's a "father".

It's okay to have days where you feel like giving up, feel like there's a black cloud that follows you, and days where you can't even get out of bed to face the world... because all that matters is that you don't let it keep you down forever. Life continues to go on, and pretty soon, you'll look back on this juncture in your life and realize that you made it. All by yourself. And it will be the most rewarding feeling.
I have every confidence in you that you are doing great, and will continue to do great for the rest of your life.
Please know that I am here for you to boo-hoo with, as a shoulder to lean on, someone to cheer you up, make you laugh, get you a drink, find you a man, babysit your kids, be a grocery shopping partner, or just a listening ear! All you have to do is call or text me girl, and I am there.
Keep your head up, and keeping telling yourself... "This is just a small chapter in the big book of life". Love you!!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00951721118007181980noreply@blogger.com
